However, tonight will be the first time I actually do anything with it. Going to this meet at the BMW CCA headquarters tonight. I’m going with my coworker who has the E30.

Back when I was a member I was seated next to a very attractive, professional-looking woman. This was around 2001/02. I asked her what model she drove she responded that she had a 530i. The E39 530i had just been released so I asked her if this was a new one or a classic E12 from the ‘70s. She gave me a look of absolute  disgust and horror, like I somehow insulted her by daring to suggest that she would drive, let alone be seen in, a car from decades ago.

I didn’t renew my membership...

I’ve been a member for a while now too. I originally intended to participate in some autox with them ( and a friend of mine who has a 428GC) , but it hasn’t happened yet due to life.

 Th at’s why I will never join a BMW club or a BMW forum. I don't deal well with pretentious assholes. When I eventually replace my car I have already decided I am not getting another BMW anyway so there's that too.
